Things to Make Skin Better

There are a lot of different things that I personally use to improve my skin. Despite the fact that I love skin care, I truly believe that less is more, and slathering your face in absolutely everything that you own will do more harm than good, by clogging up the pores. I try out a lot of products, systems, and procedures, but I definitely put time between my uses, and I don't see the need to slather the face and other parts of the body in several creams and ointments all in one day. Here are some of the things I think it is most important to do.

Wash Your Face

This is so important, and it honestly baffles me how many people skip it completely. Dirt builds up on the face as the day goes on. We need to get rid of that carefully just as we get rid of the dirt that accumulates on the body! If you wear makeup, this is even more important. Don't go to sleep with it on. Don't let it wear of naturally. That's gross, and you're just asking for bacteria to develop by doing that.

Moisturize

This is so important as well. Our skin needs moisture in order to stay healthy and young.

No Touching

Touching the face all the time is a sure fire way to transfer dirt and grime that will clog up the pores and activate break outs. I've noticed that for me, personally, my breakouts have decreased because I don't touch my face anymore. I used to touch my face all the time as though I was unsure if my nose would remain in place or something. Kind of Ridiculous

Occasional pampering
Every now and then it's nice to give your face a bit of a treat, even if it's only once a month. For me, I like to get facials and microdermabrasion done. All the appointments can cost quite a bit of money, so I'm actually thinking of investing in a machine to do microdermabrasion at home. I'm not sure about it yet, but I know I'd probably get a lot of use from it.

WATER
This sounds silly, but water is so good for the skin. I used to avoid water like the plague, because let's be honest, that stuff is not very fun to drink, but I have definitely noticed improvements to my skin, and my overall well being since I've started to drink more water. It's actually kind of incredible.
